ASC SUNDAY UPDATE
We're excited about a great first day at ASC Central Nationals! Here are the updates for tomorrow:
- Check out time is 11:00 a.m. Keys will deactivate at 11:00 a.m. so please be sure you have you luggage in the Grand Room/Kincaid Room located on the 2nd floor before you go over to watch our teams.
- Be sure you have taken care of all incidentals on your room.
- We will load luggage on our buses after Fierce 5 from 11:15 to 11:45 am.
- It is important that all cheerleaders are at every KC Cheer performance. Be EARLY as they were running ahead of time today.
- Curfew is 10:30 pm! Please be sure you are in your room. Lights out at 11:00.
- All buses will load from the convention center immediately following the 6:00 p.m. awards session.

Cheer Prep Junior 2 and International Team practices will be cancelled this morning (Jan 15) due to the bad weather conditions.
Team practices that start at or after 1:00 will be held as listed above this afternoon, as conditions are supposed to improve as the day goes on. If this changes we will alert team parents, but teams should plan on practicing as normal today. Please leave plenty of time to get here safely!
Please note that we are less than a week away from a major national, so these practices are mandatory. If an athlete does not attend today's practices, he or she will be replaced for Jamfest Super Nationals.

Special Winter Classes
KC Cheer is offering two special winter classes over the holidays. Information can be found in the "special classes" section of the class tab.
Winter tumbling clinic will provide extra practice for each specific level
Future Fives Clinic focuses on special stunts, tumbling and performance skills.
KC Cheer Holiday Hours
KC Cheer will be closed for the holidays on December 23, 24, 25 and 26. There will be no classes, private lessons, team practices or open gyms at this time.
We will re-open for classes and private lessons only on December 27, 28, 29 and 30, and then be completely closed again on December 31, January 1 and January 2.
The gym will reopen as usual on January 3. This is when all team practices will resume.
If you are on Fiesta or Fantasy, please note your practice day switch for 2017. Fantasy will be practicing on Tuesdays and Fiesta will be practicing on Thursdays. Times and locations do not change, just day of the week. So, Fantasy will have practice on January 3 and Fiesta will have it on January 5. Sunday practices do not change for either team.

KC Cheer Thanksgiving Hours
KC Cheer will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday beginning Wednesday, November 23rd through Friday, November 25th for all classes and team practices. We will reopen for classes on Saturday, November 26th and for team practices on Sunday, November 27th.
Please note: Sunday's team practices are mandatory as America's Best is the following weekend.
Jingle Bell Run 2016
It's time for holiday fun again at KC Cheer! We will be participating as "Team Klew" in the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis for the second year on Sunday, December 11.
Tie bells to your shoes, dress in your favorite holiday gear, and help us raise funds for our team to donate to the arthritis foundation. We're looking forward to gym-wide bonding during this fun holiday event for a good cause.
Together we can make a difference in the lives of more than 50 million Americans, including 300,000 children who deal with arthritis, which is the nation's #1 cause of disability. This is especially significant for our gym because a member of our staff is this year's Adult Honoree, and she faces the challenges of living with arthritis. By participating in this event, we can hope to make a difference in the lives of people like Coach Klew.
The Jingle Bell run is entirely underground, so it's nice and warm and perfect for a good workout. The course is flat, festive and fun with appearances from Santa Claus and Sluggerrr, and a holiday hallway filled with twinkling lights and decorations. There will be jugglers, magicians, a live DJ and much more.

The Arthritis Foundation is at 1900 W. 75th Street, Suite 200, Prairie Village, KS. We're on the NW corner of 75th Street and State Line Road in the Capitol Federal building. Meritex Executive Park is at 17501 W. 98th Street in Lenexa, KS.

All KC Cheer Athletes should wear their red KC Cheer tank tops! You’re welcome to add festive touches individually or as teams, too! It really gets quite warm at this venue, so the sea of RED will be festive and climate appropriate!
EVENT - UPDATED 11/21/16
On Sunday, December 11 we will meet by Santa in the big green chair promptly at 8:15 a.m. for a gym-wide picture. Once you register, you’ll receive location and parking details.
We have recruited the most team members of any group at the event so far. With more than 122 team members, we have raised more than $3700. Be sure to keep reminding your friends and families to join us on this fun Sunday morning. We'd love to win the honor of top fundraising program of the year!
Coach Klew is the "adult honoree" this year. Her team (Fiesta) will be performing on stage at the Jingle Bell Run.
KC Cheer is part of the 2K Club, meaning we have raised more than $2,000. All members of the 2K club have full access to the VIP area on event day. This includes a full pancake breakfast by Chris Cakes. We'll also be represented on the Jingle Bell Run t-shirts that every participant receives.
All members of our team will have VIP wristbands in their goody bags that will give them access to the VIP area. PLEASE NOTE: only registered members of TEAM KLEW will have access to the VIP area, not family members who simply come to watch.
Following the event, we will meet gym-wide for yearbook signing and holiday cheer at KC Cheer gym. More details TBD
