Tryout Information

KC Cheer will hold tryouts for all Program teams during the month of May, but we accept new athletes year round. Mark your calendars with the dates below for the 2024-2025 competition season.

all athletes - elite, PREP and half season will attend tryouts in may. Information on all programs will be explained in detail in our parent information meetings.

Parent Informational Meetings

Parents are required to attend a parent informational meeting to learn about the basics of our program, and ask questions of our owners and office management prior to tryouts.   It is required that parents attend at least one meeting.  

Sign ups for the Parent Meeting are posted below. You only need to attend one meeting and we would appreciate your registration so we know how many to plan for at each meeting.

2024-2025 parent meeting dates

  • Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 7:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.

  • Monday, May 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

All athlete tryout clinics will begin the week of may 13, 2024

The team placement process is divided into two sections:

  1. Tryout Clinics where athletes are evaluated on their current skill set

  2. Practice Groups where athletes are divided into groups based on age and skill level.

Tryout Clinics will be held Monday, May 13th through Thursday, May 16th. Athletes should attend either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Registration is now available…sign up below!

Cost of the Clinics and Group Practices

  • 4-7 year olds - $65/athlete (birth year 2017 through 2021)

  • 8 -18 year olds - $130/athlete (birth year 2005 through 2016)



Group practices will begin the week of may 20, 2024!

Tryouts include 2 weeks of Practice Groups held from Monday, May 20th through Thursday, May 30th.

Monday:

  • 4:45 - 6:45 - Level 2

  • 7:00 - 9:00 - Level 5 and 6

Tuesday

  • 4:30 - 6:15 - Level 1 (age 7 and under)

  • 4:45 - 6:45 - Level 1 (age 8 and up)

  • 7:00 - 9:00 - Level 3 and Level 4

Wednesday

  • 4:45 - 6:45 - Level 2

  • 7:00 - 9:00 - Level 5 and 6

Thursday

  • 4:45 - 6:45 - Level 1 (age 8 and up)

  • 7:00 - 9:00 - Level 3 and Level 4

Practice groups will end on Thursday, May 30th. Team placements will be announced on June 3rd and team practices will begin on June 10th.

New athletes and returning KC Cheer athletes must attend a tryout evaluation.  Athletes must be registered online in order to participate in tryout evaluations and a registration fee will be applied to your online account. The tryout fee is non-refundable.

Private Tryouts

Private tryouts will be offered on a limited basis on Saturday, May 18th. Athletes are encouraged to participate in the clinic tryout unless they are coming from out of the area or are otherwise NOT able to attend a tryout clinic. Individual Athlete Evaluations can be booked through the Private Lessons Calendar once we get closer to May 1st. Athletes choosing a private tryout should plan to attend group practices. Cost of the private tryout is $130.

Contract signing

For the 2024-2025 season we will again be using an electronic contract signed through your Jackrabbit Parent Portal. More information will be discussed at our Parent Meetings - don’t miss them!

Contract signing for all 2024-2025 athletes will be required before your athlete can attend their team practice.
