KC Cheer holds tryouts for the Allstar Elite Program at the end of April/beginning of May each year, but we accept new athletes year round. If you miss the April clinics, you can always contact us to schedule a private tryout at any time of year and we will find a place for you depending on the needs of our teams.

Parent Informational Meetings
Parents are required to attend one of the following parent informational meetings to learn about the basics of our program, fill out appropriate paperwork and ask questions of our owners and office management. All parents are required to attend this meeting, even if their cheerleader is going to a post season event. Extra forms will be available online in our forms section, but it is required that parents attend at least one meeting. Meetings will be held:
March 28 - 6:30-7:45 p.m. (New Members) & 8:00-9:00 p.m. (Returning Members)
April 13 - 11:00-12:30 p.m. (New Members) & 1:00-2:00 p.m. (Returning Members)
April 14 - 1:00-2:30 p.m. (New Members)
One parent must attend one of the Informational meetings. Cheerleaders are not required to attend, but are welcome. Registration for the Parent Meetings is located below in the list of Tryout Clinics.

Tryout Clinic Registration
For new athletes & current athletes not attending a post season event: New athletes and Current KC Cheer athletes not attending any post season competition with KC Cheer (Worlds or The Summit) must attend one of the tryout clinics. Athletes must be registered online in order to participate in tryout clinics. Registration fee is $45.00 and cheerleaders should register for any one of the posted clinic days.
Clinics will be held on the following days:
Friday, April 19 - 5:00-7:00p.m. and 7:00-9:00p.m.
Saturday, April 20 - 9:00-11:00a.m. and 12:00-2:00p.m.
Tuesday, May 7 - 5:00-700p.m. and 7:00-9:00p.m.
New athletes and returning athletes who are NOT attending the Summit/Worlds,
please use THIS TABLE BELOW to register for a tryout clinic:
Cheerleaders will be evaluated during tryout clinics and placed into practice groups based on skill and age level for the month of May. Staff will continue to evaluate cheerleaders during May in order to build the final teams for the season. Team placements will be announced on May 27.
Returning athletes who ARE attending a postseason event:
New this season: Current KC Cheer athletes who are attending a post season event (Summit & Worlds) must sign up for an individual tryout on one of the following days:
April 16 - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
April 18 - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
April 20 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
May 7 - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sign up using the Private Lesson Calendar “Individual Tryout.” Cost is $25/athlete. This is a requirement for returning athletes who are attending Worlds and the Summit!!
Contract signing for all 2019-2020 athletes will be held on May 8, 2019 at 6:30 or May 9 at 5:30 or 7:30 p.m. One parent is required to attend one of these sessions, and they will be split up as follows:
May 8 at 6:30 p.m. - New & Returning KC Cheer families
May 9 at 5:30 p.m. - New KC Cheer families
May 9 at 7:30 p.m. - Returning KC Cheer families
All Contracts and required paperwork must be completed and returned PRIOR to your athlete starting practice on May 13th

*An athlete's age is determined for the following season based on age as of August 31, 2019. (If you turn 15 on September 1, you're still technically considered "age 14" for this season).
