This event is a fun time for family and friends to come out and support your cheerleaders as they perform their routine for the first time this season. We are getting ready to kick off the 2025-2026 competition season with the KC Cheer Spirit Spectacular Showcase on Sunday November 2nd, 2025
The event will be held at the Advent Health Sports Park located at 16201 Shawnee Drive in Overland Park, KS.
Admission to the Showcase is $15/person (5 and under are free). Wristbands are currently being sold for advance purchase and can be purchased at the door. Tickets purchased at the door are cash or Venmo only. Information about advanced ticket sales was emailed to team members this week by the Booster Club. Advance purchased tickets can be picked up in the Main Lobby Office this week (Monday through Thursday) from 4-7 p.m.
There will be New Spirit Wear, Raffle Baskets and Great Team Performances!
KC Cheer hires a panel of professional judges to provide feedback for each team on each performance. This is an essential part of the beginning of the season and highly beneficial to the athletes and coaches alike. The coaching staff will have a judges review meeting following the Showcase to get individual feedback on each section of their teams routine.
Team members must arrive 30 minutes prior to their Meet your Coach time dressed and ready to go. We encourage all team members to arrive in time to cheer on the first performance and stay through the last team performance. Athletes will need to be dressed in required tshirt and practice wear to enter and exit the arena area without a wristband.
Teams will meet their coach at the main entrance into the arena area by the ticket desk at their “meet your coach” time. A general timeframe is posted below.
Raffle Baskets & Spirit Wear will be sold inside the arena area.

Please arrive dressed and ready to go!
NO Hairspray or Glitter allowed in the hallways or outside of the dressing rooms
PICK UP All trash left in dressing room area & be respectful of this property
Dressing rooms are available but will not be locked so do not bring valuables with you
REMOVE ALL Jewelry prior to arriving at the event
Athletes with long nails will be asked to cut or removed them or they will not be allowed to perform.
Hair bows, make-up and socks - We will be handing out bows and socks this week so keep an eye out for these. We have competition socks for a reason. It is not acceptable to wear colored socks at competitions. Please be sure you consider socks part of the uniform.
Uniforms - It does not look like the uniforms will arrive in time for Showcase. Please arrive dressed and ready to go in Program Practice Wear and Team Tank Top. Please put your cheerleader’s name in all items.
Hair and Make-up:
Full Season - Hair in a high ponytail with a slightly teased, Curled ponytail. Bow should sit on top of head.
KC Cheer ordered Posh Ponytails from - The Perfect Posh. Our Gym page should be up on their site soon. In the meantime, if you’d like to order a posh from them please use the parameters described above. Once they have set up the page I will be passing along that information.
Half Year Athletes - High Ponytail with Slightly Teased, Straight Ponytail.
Everything you need for the make-up is in the make up kit minus mascara or false lashes & eyeliner. Make-up is a natural eye and red lips. Athlete's are allowed to wear only the make up approved by KC Cheer. Items not supplied in the kit are optional - lashes or mascara, foundation and eyeliner. All lipstick, eye and cheek colors are in the make up kit and required. Do not substitute your “preferred” color.
Additional Important Details:
*No Jewelry for team pictures or any performance ( jewelry is considered a legality and costs the team penalty points at competition)
*Remove fingernail polish and fake nails - Athletes with long nails will be required to promptly remove them. This is a BIG issue and has been addressed many times at practices. It’s dangerous to have long nails in this sport. Please address this issue with your cheerleader.
*Cheerleaders must cover midriff when not performing. No walking around the venue in sports bra and spandex. Please put on the team tank top.
*We ask that Videos are NOT POSTED of the teams performances unless permission is granted. Videos shared in private FB accounts for family members are fine as long as they are not public
*This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to learn how to CHEER for Every team! Grab a cowbell when you arrive, put down your phone when the teams perform and enjoy the performance use your voice to Shout out the Gym Cheer that is prominent in most teams music -
