KC Cheer Spirit Spectacular
The KC Cheer Spirit Spectacular will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Olathe South High School located at 1640 E. 151 St., in Olathe. This event is a fun time for family and friends to come out and support our cheerleaders as they perform their routine for the first time this season. Spectator tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Details are below.
There will be NEW SPIRIT WEAR, RAFFLE BASKETS, CONCESSIONS & GREAT TEAM PERFORMANCES!
The doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
A Live Make Up Demonstration took place at KC Cheer on Friday, November 3rd. Please see the video link below for those who are unable to attend.
High Ponytail Demonstration (Straight & Curly)
** Please note the makeup demonstration is very detailed. Foundation and Lashes are not required if your athlete does not wear them normally.** Everything you need for your makeup is in the makeup kit minus mascara or false lashes & eyeliner. Makeup should be ONLY the colors in the makeup kit we provide. NO other lipstick, no extra eyeliner or eyeshadow. We all need to look the same.
SPECTATOR AND CONCESSIONS INFORMATION
This is a GREAT opportunity to learn how to CHEER for EVERY TEAM! Grab a cowbell when you arrive, put down your phone when the teams perform and enjoy the performance. Use your voice to Shout out the Gym Cheer that is prominent in most teams music -

Spectator tickets for the KC Cheer Spirit Spectacular are on sale NOW with several ways to purchase and pick up your tickets! Here are the details:
Advanced sale of wristbands begins Friday, November 3rd and will be open until Thursday, Nov. 9th.
tickets purchased in advance are $8/person
tickets purchased at the door are $10/person
kids 5 and under are free
Tickets purchased in advance by Tuesday, November 7th at 4pm can be picked up in the Main Gym office from November 7th through November 9th from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
Tickets purchased in advance AFTER November 7th will be available for pick up in a WILL CALL line at the event.
Tickets will be available for sale at the event for $10/person.
Payment can be made with Venmo (@KCCheer-BoosterClub). Indicate your athlete's name/team name/Spirit Spectacular tickets on your Venmo transaction.
We will also accept cash or check at the event.
athlete information
Team members should arrive 30 minutes prior to their check-in time, dressed and ready to go. Teams will meet their coach in the main lobby of Olathe South High School and will warm up and perform in the main gym.
Raffle Baskets, Spirit Wear & Concessions will be in the Main Lobby.
Please arrive dressed and ready to go. NO hairspray in the hallways of the school to avoid getting it on the walls. Let’s respect the school and be sure to pick up any and all trash.
We ask that all athletes, with the exception of Tinys & Minis, stay to watch all teams perform if possible.
Teams will be sharing Friendship bracelets at the Showcase - athletes don't forget to make yours!
Hair bows & socks
We will be handing out bows at extra practices this weekend.
We have competition socks for a reason. It is not acceptable to be in colored socks at competition. Please sure you consider socks part of your uniform.

All teams will perform in uniform at the Showcase.
Please arrive dressed and ready to go with Gym Jersey over your uniform. The Gym Jersey will be handed out at extra practices this weekend.
Please put your cheerleader’s name in all items

Hair in a High Ponytail with a slightly teased, straight ponytail. Bow should sit on top of the head.
Performance Schedule
General Competition Guidelines:
No Jewelry for any performance.
Remove Fingernail polish and fake nails. Athletes with long nails will be required to promptly remove them. This is a BIG issue and has been addressed many times at practices. It’s dangerous to have long nails in this sport.
Athletes must cover midriff when not performing. (Gym Jersey or Warm Up Jacket)
We ask that videos are NOT POSTED of the team’s performances unless permission is granted. Videos shared in private FB accounts for family members are fine as long as they are not public.
