KC Cheer Cheer-Abilities Team: Firecrackers
Since our inception in 1999, KC Cheer has been dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for everyone who walks through our doors. This has been a dream of ours since then, and we are excited to have the qualified personnel and community interest to add this team to the KC Cheer family. We are looking for boys and girls ages 4 and up to be part of the Firecrackers!
We are excited to begin a new season with Firecrackers! This is our 7th season with our CheerAbilities team at KC Cheer. The goal of this program is to provide athletic training to children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. KC Cheer strives to create a program that gives athletes with special needs the opportunity to develop physical fitness, self-esteem and determination, while experiencing the joy of participating in the social aspects of friendship and teamwork in a safe and encouraging environment. 2026-2027 Program Details Coming Soon!
Register your athlete
Visit the "register for class" section under the "classes" tab of the website. Scroll down to the Team Practice section and look for “2027 Firecrackers Team Roster”
Click the register button to start your enrollment. If you are a returning member, you can just go to the athlete portal to start enrollment.
Complete the registration form.
Registration is FREE, and signs you up for team practices.

Firecracker Mentors
We are looking for volunteers to help mentor our CheerAbilities Athletes. These mentor positions are open to KC Cheer Athletes, tumbling class participants, friends and family members age 12 and older. Mentor Qualifications and Commitment Information
If you are interested in being a Mentor for this season, please complete this Mentor Application and return it to Kristi Whitney.
We will discuss the program and all that it entails at a mentors informational meeting prior to the start of team practice. Don't miss this great volunteer opportunity and a chance to help others.
