KC Cheer Cheer-Abilities Team: Firecrackers
Since our inception in 1999, KC Cheer has been dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for everyone who walks through our doors. This has been a dream of ours since then, and we are excited to finally have the qualified personnel and community interest to add this team to the KC Cheer family. We are looking for boys and girls ages 4 and up to be part of the Firecrackers!
We are excited to begin a new season with Firecrackers! This is our 5th season with our CheerAbilities team at KC Cheer. The goal of this program is to provide athletic training to children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. KC Cheer strives to create a program that gives athletes with special needs the opportunity to develop physical fitness, self-esteem and determination, while experiencing the joy of participating in the social aspects of friendship and teamwork in a safe and encouraging environment. Team practices will begin on September 18th. Practice will be every Monday at 4:30 p.m. for 45 minutes. Athletes will receive a gym t-shirt and drawstring bag at their first practice. There is no monthly tuition but all team members must have an account set up through our Jackrabbit portal for attendance purposes. See below for instructions for registering your athlete.

Visit the "register for class" section under the "classes" tab of the website. Scroll down to the Team Practice section and look for “2024 Firecrackers Team Roster”
Click the register button to start your enrollment. If you are a returning member, you can just go to the athlete portal to start enrollment.
Complete the registration form.
Registration is FREE, and signs you up for team practices.

Firecracker Mentors
We are looking for volunteers to help mentor our CheerAbilities Athletes. These mentor positions are open to KC Cheer Athletes, tumbling class participants, friends and family members age 13 and older.
If you are interested in being a Mentor for this season please complete the Firecrackers Mentor Application application below and return it by September 11th. We will announce the mentors who are selected prior to the 1st team practice on September 18th.
