The Patriotic Championships will be held in Bartle Hall - Halls A&B on November 18, 2017. All full-year teams will be competing.
Before the event
The Patriotic Championship is obviously American themed, with an emphasis on support for our Men & Women in the Armed Services. As requested by the event producers, we are collecting items for our Troops! Please bring your care packages to the gym this week (details can be found on the Cheer Power website, which is linked above). KC Cheer donated the most packages last year, and we want to hold that honor again! This is a much needed donation and something so easy for our cheerleaders to do. Your contribution is much appreciated.
Event Details
There is a Spectator fee of $15.00. Children 5 & under are free, Seniors 60+ and Military are $5 Cash Only.
Attendance
Cheerleaders should arrive no later than their arrival time listed on the schedule below.
Plan your day wisely! We encourage all cheerleaders to be present for the performances of all KC Cheer teams, but we will be breaking up the day so that those arriving at 9:45 may leave after their awards. Everyone arriving at 12:15 should plan to stay until the last team has performed. While at an event, it is unacceptable to miss a performance because you are getting ready or have left for lunch. We will identify breaks in the day once the schedule comes out. If you need to leave, this is your opportunity but do not miss either of these performances. The KC Cheer staff will be taking attendance periodically throughout the day. There will be a penalty for team members who are absent from team performances.
Team members are not allowed to leave after their awards ceremonies (with the exception of Tinys).
Remember that you like to have a crowd cheering you on when you perform, so be sure you are doing that for the rest of our gym! KC Cheer takes pride in our crowd support, so be sure you are part of the FAMILY and cheer on all our teams!
Uniform
All team members should be dressed in grey tank top and black leggings or sweatpants when not in uniform. Cheerleaders must cover their midriffs when not in the practice room or on the performance floor. All teams will be wearing WHITE BOW on Saturday (Fearless in Red).
Schedule
Below is where the schedule will be available once it is published. Please be sure you are dressed and ready when it is time to meet your coach. You should not have any extra clothing or bags at this time. Coaches will meet team members by entrance escalator.
Don’t forget to show your KC Cheer Spirit and BE Loud and Proud representing our gym! Parents & Spectators be dressed in KC Cheer spirit gear to support your cheerleader! Signs, shakers and hand clappers are allowed but AIR HORNS are prohibited. Awards will be given out to the most spirit Spectators throughout the day!
